8,000 people were killed and over 50,000 injured when following an explosion over 40 tons of Methyl Isocynanate (MIC) and other deadly gasses leaked from the Union Carbide pesticide plant. Whilst all the evidence points to ongoing corporate negligence the company are still trying to blame sabotage. 0n the 16th of November 1999 a new lawsuit was filed in the US by survivors and victims organizations against Union Carbide.
