Carnival against GM crops

A day of fun and protest against genetically modified crops

The GM oilseed rape at New Craig Farm, Daviot is the only farm scale ‘trial’ in Scotland. The crop has been developed by Aventis (formerly AgrEvo) which has been genetically modified to be tolerant to the glufosinate ammonium herbicide ‘Liberty’.

The carnival will gather in Daviot at 1.30pm and proceed to New Graig Farm. Alternatively meet by the standing stones at 2.00pm

How to get there
Public transport:
No. 307 bus from Aberdeen to Inverurie (every 20 minutes).
No. 308 bus from Inverurie to Daviot (every 2 hours).
(Leaves Inverurie town hall at 1.05pm and arrives in Daviot at 1.25pm).
